How it all began….

It all began with a friendship. I just started at Georgia Eye Partners as an Ocular Disease resident in the summer of 2019 when I first met Chawan. She was a bright-eyed passionate extern who always dressed to impress and had a contagious laugh you could hear down the hall. It was easy for those around her to smile and vibe off her energy. During our time together, I knew she would never get intimidated from me asking her challenging questions and likewise, that I’m an open book and will seek answers if I don’t know them.

We share the mentality that we are life long learners who love optometry, enjoy teaching others, nerding out over interesting clinical cases, and like to have a good time.

-Pricilla

Occasionally, I still think about my first interaction with Priscilla during my 4th year rotation at Georgia Eye Partners (GEP) in Atlanta. It was about Oxervate, a recently FDA-approved human neurogrowth factor for neurotrophic keratitis. Embarrassingly, I had no idea about. We both began researching and spewing out numerous facts about it before beginning clinic. She was a quick wit resident that was initially intimidating (now ya know girl) to approach.

She was always punctual, prepared, and ready to learn; truly an inspiration. While at GEP, I always looked forward to working Priscilla because our eagerness ensured a productive clinic day.

-Chawan

We especially had a good time in our specialty contact lenses service with our mentor, Michael Kosmos. We loved to stay after clinic to absorb as much as we could from his expertise. Chawan was further inspired to pursue a cornea and contact lens residency! When our time together in clinic came to a close, we continued to keep in touch and share challenging cases with each other.

As we both evolved as clinicians, we realized that it would be fun to share our stories, cases, and learn about the industry together.

Welcome to our journey together!
